Dividag (also spelled Dywidag) tie assemblies clamp the two faces of a wall shutter together against the pressure of wet concrete. The tie bar passes through the formwork and is secured each side with a washer plate and wing nut.
They are the standard tying method for panel systems such as Frami, formwork soldiers and manhole shutters, and suit most other wall formwork.
Dividag Tie Bar
A 15mm diameter threaded bar, supplied in 6m lengths (9kg per bar) and cut to suit on site. Suitable for use on most materials.
Dividag Wing Nut
Screws onto the tie bar to clamp the shutter face. Weighs 0.35kg with an ultimate fail load of 180kN.
Dividag Pressed Washer Plate
Spreads the wing nut load across the shutter face. 120 × 120 × 10mm pressed pattern, 0.85kg, ultimate fail load 180kN.
Plastic Tubing
A 2m sturdy plastic tube with a 22mm internal diameter that sleeves the tie bar through the wall, so the bar can be withdrawn and reused after the pour.
