Heras Fencing Panels

Heras fencing is the common UK name for temporary mesh fence panels, made from welded wire mesh in a tubular steel frame. SEL supplies round-top anti-climb Heras fencing panels, 3.45m long and 2m high, for fencing off building sites, roadworks and events.

Panel Construction and Testing

Each panel has a 38mm pre-galvanised carbon steel tube frame. The joints are welded all the way round with a 360° weld and reinforced with fitted corner webs, making them up to 70% stronger than a traditional MIG weld. Every wire of the mesh is welded to the frame, 174 welds in all, so the mesh stays taut.

The wire mesh infill deters climbing. The rounded top strengthens the frame and removes sharp edges, and the galvanised finish resists corrosion.

Every panel is tested to up to 500kg of force and carries a unique factory ID for traceability. The panels are fully compliant with HSG151, the HSE's guidance on protecting the public from construction work.

We supply two panels, standard and heavy-duty. They look the same and share the same 3.45m x 2m size and round-top design. The standard panel weighs 13.8kg and the heavy-duty panel 14.9kg.
