Our steel ladders are heavy-duty industrial ladders built for the knocks of site use. We hire them at lengths from 3m to 8m for access on scaffolds, excavations and cofferdams.
The rungs are square rather than round, giving a flat, non-slip surface underfoot, and the ladder can be used either way round. Oversized rubber feet keep it steady on hard standing. Each ladder is coated inside and out to resist corrosion, under a chip and flake-proof paint, so the rungs and stiles stay sound whatever the weather.
The finish is also non-sparking, making these ladders suitable for highly flammable environments. If your paperwork asks, they're certified to the latest ladder standard (BS EN131) and tested to Class 1 strength criteria, the professional grade.
For excavations, pair the ladder with one of our ladder access platforms, which secures the ladder to the trench box behind a gated opening rather than leaning it against the side. Our edge protection and access range covers the rest of getting in, out and around a dig safely.
