- 500 L to 1,500 L capacity
- 1,000 kg to 1,500 kg SWL
- In-cab cable release mechanism
- Four-way multi-entry fork pockets
- Watertight 3 mm welded steel
- Rapid nationwide depot delivery
A forklift tipping skip is a heavy-duty steel bin you slide straight onto forklift or telehandler tines to shift rubbish, scrap, and rubble around site and tip it into high-sided muck containers. It makes waste handling quick and safe: you empty it by pulling a release cord from the driver's seat without getting down into the mud, and the empty bin rolls back and locks itself ready for the next load. Site Equipment Limited supplies them for hire or sale with fast nationwide delivery.
Typical Applications
- Demolition debris clearance
- Bulk excavation muck handling
- Scaffold loading bay clearance
- Timber and packaging segregation
- Batching plant aggregate movement
- Wet mortar waste transfer
How It Works
Emptying bulk materials into high-sided roll-on roll-off containers or muck-away lorries is handled entirely from the cab. A heavy-duty pull-cord runs from the release latch directly to the operator's seat. When pulled, the skip rolls forward along curved rocker tracks, tips under the load weight, and clears out completely without jolting the forklift mast.
Once empty, the counterbalance pulls the body back upright under gravity, where dual mechanical locks snap into place automatically. The driver never needs to dismount in active plant zones to release or relatch the skip.
Multi-Way Handling & Site Safety
Tight compound layouts and congested scaffold bays rarely offer a straight run into disposal containers. To give drivers working room, the base frame includes four-way fork pockets that take tines from the front, rear, or either side—so operators can tip sideways where space in front is tight.
Safety on uneven ground is reinforced in two ways:
- Heel retention pins lock behind the fork uprights to stop the skip sliding forward during discharge.
- A secondary safety chain fastens the base directly to the telehandler or forklift carriage for extra security when travelling across rutted site roads.
Where plant access is limited indoors—such as warehouse refits or industrial strip-outs—the skip can also be fitted with castor wheels (two fixed, two swivel with brakes), so site teams can roll it manually to the workface.
Watertight Steel Build
Every skip body is pressed from 3 mm heavy-gauge sheet steel and stiffened with a rolled-profile perimeter rim to endure daily impacts from excavators, rubble chutes, and dense masonry scrap.
All internal and external joins are seam-welded to an oil-tight and watertight finish. This stops wet mortar slurries, concrete washouts, and oily industrial swarf from seeping out across site access roads or permeable ground during transit.
